Video of Dean Potter and Sean Leary setting the record on the Nose
In November of last year, Dean Potter and Sean Leary set the speed record on the Nose of El Capitan. This record has been beaten quite a few times over the years and the last few records that have been set have only been a few minutes faster than the previous record. The new record, set at 2hr 36 min 45sec, was about 6.5 minutes faster than the previous record set by Hans Florine and Yuji Hirayama. Here is a new video of their record-setting climb.
